Early in October after months of negotiations, SHARE and UMass Chan Medical School reached a tentative agreement for a one-year contract. Once a tentative agreement is reached, there are a few steps to completing the contract:
Ratification
Later that month (October 17th) SHARE members overwhelmingly voted to ratify and approve the proposed contract.
Signatures
The next step was for the ratified contract to be signed by the SHARE negotiations team, representatives of UMass Chan, and the University of Massachusetts President’s office. The President's office signed off on November 3.

Compensation is doing some final calculations to ensure everyone gets their full raise and retro.
Implementation
Once final calculations are completed, Payroll will issue the raise and retro to SHARE members in their paychecks.
At this moment we are not sure how long callculations step will take. As we do not want to set an unfair expectation, we will gather more information prior to providing a more specific timeframe. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or feedback.
